SKILLZ KIDZ - SCARBOROUGH - BIRCHCLIFF
We are expanding our Skillz Kids program to Scarborough for the summer and fall. Building on our years of player development at the U7 and older age groups. We have design a program that will introduce young children to the game of soccer. This community based program, helps parents who have never participated in soccer or coached to learn how to create a fun and learning environment for their kids. Our Scarborough program will be designed and implemented by our Club Technical Director Jake Doodnath with input from Coach William Giummarra. This simple to understand program that will encourage both young kids and parents to enjoy the sport of soccer. It will also encourage the players and parents to play together
This program will focus on building a love for the soccer ball, which will eventually lead to a love of soccer as a lifelong sport. Our session will teach ball manipulation, ball mastery and soccer related movement. We will also be engaging the parents in the session so that they can encourage their children to have fun with the ball on their own at home.
Each week we will review the previous week activities, teach some new stuff and keep encouraging the children to have fun with the ball. These activities will be customized for each child. For children who are progressing quickly we will adjust their activities accordingly.
Ages for classes will be 2-4yrs | 5-7yrs | 8-10 yrs old. All players will receive a customized Toronto Skillz Training Shirt and an Age appropriate Joma soccer ball. The cost is $290 for 8 classes. Location of clinics will be at McCowan District Park ( Located on McCowan Road between Eglinton and Kingston Road. Classes will start Monday July12th from 6:30 -7:20 pm.
